If you've been hurt or otherwise harmed by the fault of another, you may have a personal injury case. The legal term for this is "negligence", and can arise from another person's actions or inaction. For example, if you are involved in a car accident that is somebody else's fault and you suffer an injury from that accident, you have a personal injury case. Another example would be if you are hurt on somebody else's property because they failed to keep the property in a reasonably safe condition. This is a premises liability case.
